Christmas and New Year’s trading hours are as follows:

Open from Monday 20 to Friday 24 December, closing at 2.30 pm on Christmas Eve, and closed Christmas day, Boxing day;

Open from Monday 27 to Friday 31 December, closing at 2.30 pm on New Year’s Eve;

Re-opening on Tuesday 4 January, 2011

Hello all,

SAMPLE OUR NEW COFFEES

We are now offering a range of single origin coffee as well as our house blend (5 Senses), and freshly ground decaffinated coffee.

Our single origin coffee changes regularly to give our customers an opportunity to taste a range of coffee from around the world. This week’s single origin coffee is from Guatemala, Antigua Los Volcanos.

Also new is the change to Planet Cup pacakaging, the only fully compostable take away cup on the market. We also offer a discount if you BYO cup!

This month’s single origin coffees include Columbian Supremo, Ethiopian Harrar, Guatemalan Antigua Los Volcanos.

From Tuscany – Ribollita plus a Riciarelli biscuit and regular coffee for $15!

Hungarian Lunch Special – Toltott Paprika (stuffed capsicum) with complimentary regular coffee $15.50!

Mothers’ Day Specialties

Bookings are welcomed for Mothers’ Day, Sunday 9 May. We are featuring our Hungarian Set Lunch menu as well as a new Italian Set Menu, consisting of a main, dessert and coffee / tea for a very well priced $20. A reminder that we are BYO licensed, and open on the weekends from 8 30 – 4. Spoil your mum with some food from the heart of Europe.

Due to the popularity of our Hungarian Set Menu for lunch, we will be continuing the special throughout April, every day of the week. Just the thing to warm you as Autumn sets in!

Also coming is the Italian Set Menu…on selected days throughout April and May – watch this space!

All our Hungarian and Italian dishes are prepared in-house using traditional recipies and are offered until sold out.

Welcome back to the Cafe Pinocchio blog! Refreshed and re-invigorated from a short break at the Radisson in Fiji, we’ve resumed regular trading hours, Tuesday to Sunday.

Fiji afforded many opportunities to sample local culinary delights. We had the pleasure of meeting Richard Cross, winner of Master Chef Asia, and sampled some of his fare at ’Cross’, his new restaurant at the resort. Read about him here: http://www.fijitimes.com/story.aspx?id=121376

Ch…ch…ch…changes

Cafe Pinocchio would like to thank all our customers who have been so supportive throughout the past year, enduring our renovations in November. The new look cafe is headed up by the La Marzocco in the window, that reduces St Ali’s espresso blend to liquid gold, shot after shot after shot…and complimented by our new summer menu, combining customer favourites with new Hungarian specialty dishes such as Toltott Kaposzta (Hungarian stuffed cabbages in sauercream sauce) and Retes, Hungarian strudel with sweet or savoury fillings, changing daily.
